The Politics of Identity in Crimea Since the End of the Cold War Abstract The subject of this research is about the politics of identity in Crimea since the end of the cold war between Russia and Ukraine. This is further, with reference to Russia’s recent invasion of Ukraine, which has sparked a heated debate internationally on the subject of politics of identity in the affected region. Through the adopted methodology of content analysis of both online and offline secondary sources and the application of relevant political studies and theories, discussions, and previous leading researchers on the similar subject, this research will analyze the issue with both current historical perspectives, and will attempt to discover the actual factors behind this ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Keeping in view the significance of the subject, this research will try to identify the crucial areas as well as the viable solutions to resolve this ongoing crisis.
